The Ceiriog Trail

This is a 23 mile (37km) trail, with shorter options, for competent horse riders. It can also be used by mountain bikers and walkers. Both the inner and outer routes described in the leaflet follow unclassified county roads and bridleways. Much of the valley is flat meadowland bounded by steep tree covered hillsides. At the head of the valley the river flows through open heather moorland rising to 2000ft (610m). Much of the terrain is rugged and exposed. The weather can change suddenly
