Route Five: Freedown Rides

The Freedown Rides will enable you to explore on horseback the downland on the North Downs in east Kent. The circular rides lie between Kingsdown, Ringwood and St Margaret's at Cliffe, between the A258 and the coast. The riding routes comprise five loops providing rides of up to 10 miles (16km) length.

    Where to stay
    A useful book entitled Bed and Breakfast for Horses which lists places to keep a horse overnight can be purchased from the British Horse Society.
