Route Three: Alkham Valley Rides

The Alkham Valley Rides will enable you to explore on horseback the downland and woodland on the North Downs on both sides of the Alkham Valley. The linear and circular rides lie to the north of the A20 between Folkstone and Dover. The riding routes comprise four loops linked by an extensive linear route providing a long distance ride of about 21 miles (34km) length.

    Where to stay
    A useful book entitled Bed and Breakfast for Horses which lists places to keep a horse overnight can be purchased from the British Horse Society.
