Route One: Blue Bell Hill Rides (Medway Gap)

The Blue Bell Hill Rides will enable you to explore on horseback the downland and woodland on the North Downs escarpment to the east of the Medway Gap. The circular rides lie to the west of the A229 midway between Maidstone and Chatham. The riding routes comprise one long and two short loops which can be combined to provide a ride of about 8 miles (13km) length.

    Where to stay
    A useful book entitled Bed and Breakfast for Horses which lists places to keep a horse overnight can be purchased from the British Horse Society.
