The Ox Drove Way

The Ox Drove Way 25 mile (40km) circular ride is part of a very old cross-country route called The Lunway. The name Lunway appears in two Saxon Charters described as a popular track over the downs.

There are several places of interest to stop at en route. Abbotstone Down is used by walkers and riders who enjoy the open space and natural downland. The Ox Drove Way can be broken down into separate circular rides using the many historic sheep droves. The main ride is signposted by Hampshire County Council and marked with the Ox Drove logo.
