UK: Yorkshire and the Humber: Newtondale Horse Trail (Regional Route)

Newtondale Horse Trail

The Newtondale Horse Trail follows a 37 1/2 mile (60km) circular route on bridleways and roads through the dramatic gorge of Newtondale in the North York Moors National Park. It includes Newbridge in the south and Grosmont in the north, but the countryside itself is remote and has few settlements. Accommodation should be booked in advance. The trail takes you through some of the most striking scenery of the North York Moors, from farmland and forests to high open moorland. Be prepared for open moors and unpredicatable weather.
