The Jack Mytton Way gives riders, cyclists and walkers the
chance to journey around
seventy miles through some of rural England's most unspoilt
and beautiful countryside. The route starts near Highley and
ends at the bridge over the River Terne in Llanfair Waterdine
on the Welsh border.
The Jack Mytton Way is named after one of Shropshire's
most notorious but affectionately remembered characters.
Known as "Mad Jack", Mytton was famed for his outrageous and
foolhardy pranks, so much so that he is known some two hundred years later!
