This route was developed in 1994 by Leicestershire Association of
Parish and Local Councils and Leicestershire County Council to
commemorate the centenary of parish councils. It uses bridleways
and lightly-used lanes. Maps are included.
The leaflet can be obtained locally.
A useful book entitled Bed and Breakfast for Horses which lists places to keep a horse overnight can be purchased from the British Horse Society. Entries include:
