The Debenham Circular Ride is a 4 mile (6km) route, originally promoted
as a circular walk. The route has now been improved for riders and forms part
of a new booklet of four rides in the heart of Suffolk.
This booklet (left) can be obtained from Suffolk County Council.
Please telephone (01473 583305) first to check the price (£2.50 at County Planning Department, County Hall, IPSWICH
The leaflet (right) is no longer produced, but copies may be found
at some locations.
This section lists the Ordnance Survey maps at the two most useful scales, covering the area of the route. Clicking on any of them will enable the reader to purchase the map on line from Amazon. A useful book entitled Bed and Breakfast for Horses which lists places to keep a horse overnight can be purchased from the British Horse Society. Information on this route can also be found on the Suffolk County Council website. Please don't be put off by the heading "walk" as all the off-road parts are bridleways! The Heart of Suffolk project, which has produced the booklet, was funded by Waveney District Council, Suffolk Coastal District Council, Mid Suffolk District Council, Suffolk County Council, the European Regional Development Fund, and the Rural Development Fund. East Anglian Trails assisted with the route development.
