The Peterborough Millennium Green Wheel is a network of cycleways,
footpaths and bridleways that provide safe, continuous routes
around the city and 'spokes' linking the Wheel to residential
areas and the city centre. The circular route is some 54 miles (87km) long.
The Peterborough Green Wheel map helps riders plan their journey
and identify places to visit and facilities on route.

This paths and tracks making up this route can be seen on the following Ordnance Survey maps. The Landranger series at People wishing to try out the riding away from home may wish to know where they can keep their horses overnight. A useful book entitled Bed and Breakfast for Horses which lists places to keep a horse overnight can be purchased from the British Horse Society. The Peterborough Green Wheel will become the junction for the H1 Great Northern Bridleroute and the H47 Peterborough to Peddars Way Bridleroute. The £11 million project was 50% funded by the National Lottery through the Millennium Commission, matched by contributions from public and private businesses and voluntary organisations.
